House Update!

It is official we will be home owners on the First of May! The inspection went well. We are so thankful for that!

The kids are very excited about having a hand in "splatter" painting their rooms! Molly's room will be white with pink and lime green splatters. The colors match the comforter set that Grammy Sue bought her last fall. Michael is super obsessed with The Incredible Hulk! So his room will be Hulk green and blue splatters on a white background. I'm sure they'll be wearing more paint then the walls by the time we are done. I have picked a beautiful shade of green for our master bedroom. It's called Artichoke and it matches the bedding we already have perfectly! The rest of the house (living room, kitchen, dinning room & hall) will all be a tan color called Macadamia.

I am still not sure what I'm doing in the daycare room. It will be an ongoing project through out the summer! I do know that my in laws are giving us carpet for in that room. Very nice of them!

Ryan and his dad will be updating the Electrical in the house. Crossing fingers that it will be a somewhat easy job for them to complete in a weekend!

Once we get our keys on Friday I will post some before pictures of our cute little house! We have been so blessed! God truly is good and great! He has provided so much good in the last few months! Ryan has gotten some great praise from some of the head honchos at FPL! Yeah Ryan! He has some great visions for the future and he bosses are seeing that and running with his ideas! I'm so proud of him!

We are buying a house!

Ryan and I are in the process of buying a cute little starter home in Riverside! We are so excited for this next step in our lives! We honestly thought that this day would be several more years away! Thankfully we found a great real estate agent, Jessie Minkler! We also found a great person willing to help us with the whole loan process, Cherie at Westcorp Mortgage! We looked at 8 houses total. Found 3 that we really liked but in the end chose the one that was the best investment in our future.

The house is a 3 bedroom 1 bath (ugh) bungalow. It has been well taken care of. There is also a separate room with outside entrance for my daycare business! It was a surprise since it wasn't listed on the website! It needs a little work but that shouldn't be too hard to do since Ryan & his dad are so handy. We are planning on tearing out the carpet to reveal the hardwoods! We are also praying that those hardwoods are in decent shape!

We have the house inspection April 10th. If all goes well then we will close on the house May 21st! Once we get the keys I'll take some before pictures then we will get to work. We hope to have all the painting and floors done so we can move in the last weekend in May!

Guilt

Okay so my mom just left here and now I feel like Shit! I never take time for just me and now that I'm feeling over extended into so many things I've decided that I need to give up some of my jobs! Every other Sunday I clean for my Great Aunt and Uncle! Lately it's just becoming a hassle! So I told my mom when she was here that I just don't have time to keep up with my house and my aunt's. Now I feel like a big pile of poop! I guess I'm supposed to just continue doing this because it's family! Yes I get paid but I also get paid a lot more to take care of other people kids in my home which needs to be clean! Once I'm done cleaning my own home I'd really like to be able to relax! The last couple of weekends we haven't been home. This weekend is much the same way! Why is it that mothers are always saying you really should take time for you and your family but they don't mean it! I'm just so angry and frustrated right now! I just had to vent this!
Oh and the greatest part of today is that Ryan invited our friend Jennifer over for dinner! Yeah we don't have anything here to eat! So I guess once I hurry and clean the house then I'll run to the store so I can make a fabulous dinner! Oh Joy!

2009 update!

I guess I'm not very good at this blog business since I don't seem to be writing much! I guess so far 2009 has been okay! We have some short term goals for the year and a few long term ones! We've done our taxes and I'm happy to report that my daycare business broke even and really had no effect on our tax return. We are getting money back from the federal government but we owe Oregon a small amount! The rest goes into the back until Ryan gets his bonus in March and we can decided which credit cards get payed off!

Molly turned 5 on the 26th of January! I can't believe she's that old! She's such a smart girl! Michael turned 3 on February 7th! He's almost potty trained. The only time he's wearing diapers is at night! He's so proud of himself!

We have also recently made a very hard decision to not have anymore kids! I haven't been feeling well lately and have been somewhat depressed and I came to the conclusion that it was due to my IUD. So I told Ryan I wanted to have it removed but that he first has to get a vasectomy! So he'll be calling this week to set up that appointment! He's very much on board with this decision. He promised me before we ever got married that if we had kids that he would be the one to get "fixed" when the time came! What a brave and wonderful gift to me!

Ryan and I will be going to our first Parenting class tonight! I'm scared to go. That's how I am in new situations. Ryan doesn't think he needs to go but I think it will be good for us to get on the same page discipline wise. I'm hoping this we strengthen us as parents and also in our marriage!

I have a lot of other exciting things that I would like to share but I worry that if I share them now it may jinx what we are hoping to have happen!

How much do I hate Winter?!?!

So in case I haven't mentioned it before, I hate Winter! I have never liked cold (that's why I moved to Alaska)! I really hate snow with a passion! It may look pretty but it's not. It's cold, wet, messy and so much more!

So I really enjoyed Monday when school was a 2 hour delay. That meant Molly didn't have preschool! She was mad but I was jumping for joy that I didn't have to drive in the snow! Then Tuesday was no school which didn't matter anyway since Molly only goes Monday, Wednesday & Friday. So I'm thinking this morning when I get up that school will at least be delayed again. No such luck. So I'm thinking is it worth it for me to get Molly, Micheal and Griffin in and out of the van a total of 8 times before the day is done? I take her because they are supposed to have there Christmas program tomorrow. So I get there (I drove 10 miles an hour the whole 3 blocks) and they have rescheduled the program to next Tuesday! So now I have to call all of our family and let them know of the change. I'm just a little pissed off.

I hate snow!!! I love snow days as long as I don't have to go outside!

Doctors & Christmas

So I had my annual exam today! I know all of us hate them but they are a necessary evil! So I went into it a little more then worried! I haven't been feeling well and all signs were pointing to pregnant. Thank goodness my Doctor has known me long enough to know that I'm a worry wart and I freak out about nothing. So I'm not pregnant! I'm still not sure how I feel about that. Ryan doesn't want more kids and we certainly can't afford another on right now but I know that someday in the future I'd like to have one or two more. So we think I might have some thyroid problems so she is running some blood test. If it is my thyroid then hopefully it can be managed with 1 little pill everyday! I sure hope we find the answer soon I'm really tired of being tired, especially since I sleep really well at night!

Other then going to the doctor things have been good. We have our Christmas decorations up. They are so festive. The kids love the lights and all things Christmas. They are finally understanding what Christmas is all about. Not just presents but the birth of Jesus and being with the people you love! I'm looking forward to this years festivities. Molly has her first ever Christmas program on December 18th. She's very excited. We are going to spend Christmas Eve in Heppner with Ryan's family. I'm in charge of Christmas morning this year, I'm ever going to invite my Dad! I think he might be changing for the better and I feel it's important for the kids to know him! My mom, brother, and grandparents will be here. It should be a fun morning! We will be spending the Afternoon and evening of Christmas at my mom's. I really am excited this year!

Thankful For....

So in the spirit of the Thanksgiving I just wanted to say what I'm thankful for! I'm thankful for the joy my children bring. Even when they are totally driving me crazy I think about how great it is that they are healthy, smart and happy! I'm thankful for Ryan. He's my best friend, my partner, and the best lover I've ever had! I'm thankful for Ryan's job! It supports our family not only income wise but we have the best benefits! I'm thankful for the 3 families that pay me every month to watch over there beautiful children, it's an honor to be trusted with their children! I'm thankful for my mom who still takes care of me even though I have a family of my own now. I'm thankful for the time she spends with her grandkids and the joy she gets from them. I'm thankful for the relationship she has formed with Ryan. They really are fun together! I'm thankful for my brother who is always so willing to help us out when we get into a tight spot! I'm thankful for my friends who are understanding of what my life has become and don't question why we haven't gotten to have a normal phone conversation in 4 years or why we can't go out to lunch unless it's a kid friendly place!

I wish everyone well and hope that you have a lot to be thankful for this year! Things could be so much worse! I may not have a lot but I have my health, a roof over my head, food in my fridge and family that loves me!

Twilight

Thank you lord for providing me with the money to go see Twilight! So I would just like to state that the movie got me all kinds of excited! They so need to get the next movie done and in the theater!

I'm glad the movie stayed so close to the book! On the drive home I had to give Ryan the run down on the other books and why Rosalie was such a bitch! It was weird watching the movie and seeing Jasper because I dated a guy that looked a little bit like him! Kinda freaky! Ryan has decided that Alice is his new fantasy girl! She was pretty hot!

Anyway, now that I've seen the movie life can go on. Time to think about the Holidays now! Thanksgiving is only a couple days away and I still don't know what I'm taking to Ryan's grandparent's. Well I guess I'll figure it out today!

Okay so let's see! This is all kinda new to me! I thought I would do this blog thing so that I could vent, share and express my thoughts on life and my family! So once there is something for me to write about I will!

Nothing much has happened today! I cleaned the house, well some of it anyway! Ryan's sister, Stefanie came over from Heppner with her husband Troy and there 3 foster kids! It's always fun spending time with them. After they left I enjoyed a nice glass of wine!

Tomorrow Ryan and I are going to see Twilight! I read the series so I'm very excited to see this film! I hope it lives up to the hype!
